  • Shore Leave (3 of 24x18x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2017 - Hung

Commissioned to design an art piece to suit a client who loves diving & everything about the ocean, this 3 part art series brings together the colors in the living room soft furnishings and wants to instill in the viewer a sense of peace.  Looking out across the headland, the beach, & far into the horizon over the ocean, the diver has just pulled his boat onto the shore to take a break but before making it too far, already longs to go back out and experience the wonders of the depths of the ocean.  Shore leave please, I want to go diving!

Shore Leave (1of3 - 24x18x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2017

Commissioned to design an art piece to suit a client who loves diving & everything about the ocean, this 3 part art series brings together the colors in the living room soft furnishings and wants to instill in the viewer a sense of peace. Shore leave please, I want to go diving!

I can smell the ocean, feel the salt in my hair, the grass under my feet as I walk onto the headland, the rocks are warmed by the sun and as I sit and take a breath, I can feel the weight of the world slipping off my shoulders.

Together We Can (40x50 inches) Mixed Media Tapestry 2018

Working with the Ami Wolsey 5th Grader class at Singapore American School, this tapestry was created to bring awareness to the amount of plastic that is choking up our oceans & the fact that we need to come together as protectors of the ocean to clean it up, rather than continue to destroy it. 150 hours were donated by Art&SOUL in the creation of this art piece to raise money for the school via the SAS International Fair Silent Auction. The braiding work, little sea creatures & slogans created by the 5th graders are featured on this art piece.

Blackeyed Susan (20x20x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2017

Realism works from photographs I took along my life's journey.  Realism painted in acrylic.

See the detail on the diving tank, the goggles, the snorkel, the footsteps around the nose of the boat?  What is the story here?

Perfect Imperfection (48x16x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
There is more beauty the closer that you look. In behind the top layer painting, on another plane, you can peak & see there is a Ulysses Butterfly in front of a glorious orange sunset, which stands for change, freedom & new beginnings. This butterfly has spun a thin blue metallic thread (the same color as the larger line stretching horizontally across the galaxy, or our existence) as if to sew the planet back together to keep the beauty in it, that we, as human beings, are essentially undermining as we use up the Earth’s resources & bring global warming to our home.
Where There is Love - Diversity is Celebrated (48x16x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2017

This piece was painted specifically for the Singapore American School International Fair celebrating the diversity of people coming together to honor each other. We are all painted in different colors, yet the paint & the brush is the same, we have our own individual wonderful traits, yet deep down, we are all the same. We only need to find love within ourselves & then everything else falls into place. Look closer, you will see the detail that inspires & motivates each of us, a hand, a heart, a lock, a tie, which color do you identify with?

Where There is Love - Diversity is Celebrated - Close up of Red/Orange

    Do you hold on?

Harmony (40x30x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016

There is tension between the way we live & the way we know we should.  The yellow screams for your attention, you're drawn to the calm of the blue, the black threaded in between whispers secrets, make sure you're listening closely, you may hear the song that leads you back to blue.  In the centre on the bottom third portion, there is a couple dancing, in that tiny moment, there is love that brings harmony to it all in totality.

Where There is Love - Diversity is Celebrated - Close up of Orange/Yellow

Do you buckle up and hang on for the ride?

Where There is Love - Diversity is Celebrated - Close up of Yellow/Green

Do you envelope then lose yourself in love?

Where There is Love - Diversity is Celebrated - Close up of Green/Blue

    Do you kiss & tell?

Where There is Love - Diversity is Celebrated - Close up of Blue/Purple

There's a tiny thread holding us together, it's hard to see but it's oh, so strong

Focus (24x24x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
Grace & love is my focus. The cross glows in the dark as do the words "Grace" & "Love" written on the reflection of the dove flying away from the cross, to signify the Holy Spirit completing His work. The iris color can be customized if you organize to send me a close up picture of the eye color you want to appear in the painting.
Sunrise & Sunset Lake (Set of 2 - 24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
The reflection off the lake is quite beautiful, captured at two different times during the day.
Coffeehouse Chat (24x18 inches) Watercolor 2004
Enter the blues, mix it with some gold, make them smooth and grab an ear. Soak up a coffee as you soak in some conversation, it's a relaxed, warm and inviting space, enjoy it as you gaze.
Everything is Meaningless (24x24x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016

From the beginning to the end, the alpha to the omega, there is time to do with it what you like, be sure to live a powerful life.

Pathway for Reflection (24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
On my way to work it rained, the sun came out and shone whilst it was still raining, peculiar that I could see the beauty of the sky in the reflection of the puddles on the ground.
Storm (40x30x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
The sun is peaking through but there's a massive storm on the horizon, it looks ominous yet beautiful all at once. I can feel the wind starting to blow, it's so refreshing, I can't wait for the heavens to open up.
Broaden My Beach (4 of 18x14x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015

There's a view from my balcony, this is the beach with a park and gorgeous waves crashing upon the shore.

Broaden My Beach (4 of 18x14x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015

"Broaden My Beach" hung in a hotel in Broadbeach, Australia, Custom-made 4-set art piece depicting the view of the horizon directly out of the hotel window.

Shine Your Joy (40x30x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
The sun peeks through the water, there is glitter, there is happiness in the colors. There is a wave or 2 to catch, these little snippets remind me of the beach.
Shine Your Joy (40x30x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015

"Shine Your Joy" hung in a hotel in Broadbeach, Australia, Custom-made abstract art piece depicting the glittering sun on the waves directly out of the hotel window.

Water's Edge (40x30x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
Sunrise or sunset. On the 25th 2015 there was an amazing moon rising above the coastline, it was so brilliant that it looked to me like the sun shining during the day.
Water's Edge (40x30x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016

"Water's Edge" hung in a hotel in Broadbeach, Australia, Custom-made abstract acrylic art piece depicting the brilliance of the moon one Christmas night directly out of the hotel window.

All Messed Up (2 of 16x12x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
There is a rhyme for reason here, there is mess but there is a subtle sense of belonging. The colors chosen are meant to give a sense of peace but there is white noise involved to distract you from what is truly the calling of the painting.
Two Feet If You're Lucky (24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
It's not worth surfing these waves but they make for a pretty picture. I want to go to the beach don't you?
The Breakers That Broke Me (24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Waves rolling relentlessly, not big enough to surf on but big enough to stop me during my first surfing lesson. I gave up after 4 hours of trying.
Surf's Up! (24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Fabulous waves beckoning me to try to harness them.
Riptide (24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Rushing water, lose your footing, don't get caught swimming. Instead sit back & enjoy it's glorious power from a safe distance, isn't it magnificent?
Celadon Rain (3 of 18x18x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Green lily pads, turquoise and streaks of blue metal come together on a rainy day.
Celadon Rain hung by Interior Design Journey

Metallic Rain (3 of 18x18x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Rain streaking across the window, blurring my vision, I think I'll stay safe and warm inside.
Champagne Reflection (3 of 18x18x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Rain washes away the day, the colors across my windscreen are gorgeous as I look outside.
Singapore The World (48x24x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Geometrically inter-related circles on a plane exploding in colors. The colors of the Singapore flag repeating in sections, speaking of home.
Fluttergenes (48x24x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Oranges rolling, is Ulysses pushing them, or trying to catch them? You decide.
Candy Apple (48x24x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Geometrically inter-related circles on a plane, two are gathered snug, two are moving away reaching new dimensions, morphing as they go.
Blue Through (48x24x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Geometric abstract - Above the line or below the line, we all deserve a place to belong.
Metallic Performance (48x16x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Metallics in gold & silver make these circles stand out, with the warmth in the yellow background there's festive cheer throughout.
Unattached (48x16x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Geometrically inter-related gemstones in orbit. "What a beautiful gathering of colors!" That's fine with me I'm still sparkly in my own way.
Just Coz I'm Different (48x16x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Geometrically inter-related circles on a bronze horizon, somehow fitting together yet constantly in opposition.
Bounce In Blue (48x16x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Geometrically inter-related circles on a bronze horizon, somehow fitting together yet constantly in opposition.
Bubble Pop (48x16x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
Circles, circles everywhere, some you can pop, others you cannot. They belong together, all of them, they only want to brighten your day.
Solace (36x12x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
You are an island unto your own, don't despair, everything is exactly the way it should be, there is peace here.
Silver Expanse (3 of 20x16x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
Planets in linear conjunction with colors expanding into the ether.

We Need a Bigger Boat (24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
I grew up on an island, my Dad took me fishing one day, we ended up adrift close to a mud bank but when he tried to start the motor it wouldn't cut over & the waves were quite big. He pulled up the 40 horse Mariner and there was fishing line tangled all around it. When leaning over to untangle the motor my Dad fell in, leaving his boots in the mud. This is the scene I saw when waiting for my Dad to surface. I didn't understand the brevity of the situation, all I saw was the peace of the surrounding islands thinking all we needed was a bigger boat.

First Light (24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
There is a point in the break of dawn that the earth sighs before she embarks on a new day. Having grown up on an island and spent a night in a boat trying to make my way home, I've witnessed the silence in this still place. The land, the rocking of the boat and of course the break of dawn, the sunrise beginning to dance on the waves before me, yet the land abounds in darkness, the waters beneath still black.

Shore Leave (3 of 24x18x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2017 - Hung

Commissioned to design an art piece to suit a client who loves diving & everything about the ocean, this 3 part art series brings together the colors in the living room soft furnishings and wants to instill in the viewer a sense of peace.  Looking out across the headland, the beach, & far into the horizon over the ocean, the diver has just pulled his boat onto the shore to take a break but before making it too far, already longs to go back out and experience the wonders of the depths of the ocean.  Shore leave please, I want to go diving!

All Messed Up (2 of 16x12x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2016
There is a rhyme for reason here, there is mess but there is a subtle sense of belonging. The colors chosen are meant to give a sense of peace but there is white noise involved to distract you from what is truly the calling of the painting.
Two Feet If You're Lucky (24x8x1.5 inches) Acrylic on Canvas 2015
